About Lisa

It's Lisa here! I've been teaching for eight years (now I feel old!) in New Jersey. I'm in my third year of teaching second grade  but have also taught first, third, and fifth. That sounds a little crazy but in the end I'm happy for all the experience it provided me. I'm always learning new things about myself as well as teaching and learning.

I enjoy teaching second grade so much! It's a lot of fun and everyday feels like a new adventure. I miss Catie now that she's in first grade but luckily we still find time to catch up and share our ideas (and thoughts on our favorite reality TV show, handbags, etc).

I'm currently in graduate school and about halfway finished with my Master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. One day I hope to be a curriculum supervisor as I have found this to be a passion of mine.

Besides teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband of two a half years and our English Bulldog, Josie.  We love the beach, traveling, going to concerts, and decorating our house with lots of art.

Catie and I found ourselves discussing a lot of ideas we've seen on teaching blogs and how to incorporate them into our own classrooms.
